Corporate Training

" The most successful people in the world are those who think relationally" Master Fwap continued. " Of course they can use hierarchical logical analysis too, when it is beneficial for them to do so. But most highly effective and successful people don't rely on hieracrchical logical analysis for most of their problem-solving; instead they solve problems relationally with the assistance of their second attention."

" To sum it all up in overly simplistic terms. Master Fwap said tersely, " success in life primarily depends on two things: timing, and a person's ability to create rapid and accurate relations within one's mind."

At Q-Sorts we aim to do precisely that. We help people in "changing the signal" so that the brain "wakes up" and gets off its "stuck point". We also help in "force fitting" procedures where one imagines the problem to have all sorts of odd characteristics, or "force fits" its as having relationship or similarity to other objects or contexts as a way of "seeing the problem in a new light".

Someone very wisely said, " In the beginners mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's mind there are few". So we have to learn to be creative and then to solve problems. One of the problems with looking for creative solutions to problems is that we always come to a problem with our years of experience behind us. This can sometimes direct our thinking down certain familiar paths and we can miss other paths which might lead to better solutions. One way to overcome this tendency is to force yourself to approach a problem from a completely different point of view.

Let us harness the power of the BRAIN:

Lets take a small example of the power of our brain:
Imagine that you are standing in your kitchen holding a lemon that you have just taken from the refrigerator. It feels cold in your hand. Look at the outside of it, its yellow skin. It is waxy yellow, and the skin comes to small green points at the two ends. Squeeze it a little and feel its firmness and its weight.

Now raise the lemon to you nose and smell it. Nothing smells quite like a lemon, does it? Now cut the lemon in half and smell it. The odour is stronger. Now bite deeply into the lemon and let the juice swirl around in your mouth. Nothing tastes like a lemon either, does it?

At this point, if you have used your imagination well, you mouth will be watering.

Its implication: Mere words have affected your salivary glands. That is the power of your brain to relate words to imagination to reality.

Primarily when we are talking about all this, we are talking of thinking skills. Good thinking is not an intellectual exercise, it is a catalyst for complete organisational development. We teach MIND-SKILLS which means that we help in improving the overall functioning of the brain.
